Incredible Bloodlines…

Son of Sea Hero, winner of the 1993 Kentucky Derby and almost $3 million in total earnings and out of the Black–type mare, Dance Account (earnings over $130,000) by Private Account. His pedigree reads like a who’s who of racing and sporthorse breeding including chefs Danzig, Northern Dancer, Nearctic, Nearco, War Admiral, Man o War, Ribot, Graustark, Alibhai, Turn–To, Hail to Reason, Damascus, My Babu, Tom Fool, Buckpasser, Hyperion, Nijinsky II, and Panorama in the first five generations. There are also 16 reines–de–course (Queens of the course, or outstanding broodmares) in the first five generations, including Glowing Tribute, Busanda, Natalma, Flower Bowl, Flower Bed, Searching, Big Hurry, Kerala, Numbered Account, Intriguing, Flaming Page and Flaring Top. His dam line alone has produced winners in 17 countries on four continents on dirt, turf and over fences.

Impeccable Conformation…

Cyriz has the classic, old–style Thoroughbred conformation. He received an impressive “9” for conformation at his RPSI inspection with comments like “this is exactly the type of Thoroughbred needed to lighten the heavier German mares.” He has a deep shoulder, powerful hip, good bone and a beautiful head and neck that he is consistently passing on to all his foals.

Outstanding Temperament…

Cyriz has an amazing temperament that must be experienced firsthand to truly appreciate. He received an “8” for both character and temperament at the 100–day. A common comment heard when people first spend any time with him is “I’ve never seen a stallion act like that.” He is also very rideable, being ridden by his amateur owner out in the fields, trained by Grand Prix and International riders and giving “pony” rides to numerous kids aged 4 mos. to 3 yrs. We know that he is passing on his temperament and trainability to his offspring and have every reason to expect he’s passing on his rideability as well.

Meet Sea Accounts…

Sea Accounts (“Cyriz”) has been a surprise from the start. Son of 1993 Kentucky Derby winner, Sea Hero, he was a wedding present given to Cyndi and Chris DeBracy in the Fall of 2002 by his breeder and family friend, Tom Carey, after an injury made his return to a racing career questionable.  We weren’t sure what to expect when he arrived in Texas, but it was love at first sight. Cyriz quickly exceeded all our expectations both as a sporthorse and a sire, passing on his incredible temperament, athleticism and elasticity (according to Otto Schalter of the RPSI) to his foals. He has a great aptitude for jumping, loves cross country and is a beautiful mover. With his size, temperament, athleticism, classic conformation and outstanding bloodlines for both race and sport, Sea Accounts offers an exciting option for sporthorse breeders of all breeds.

Awesome Athlete…

Cyriz is proving himself as a sporthorse, as evidenced by his successful completion of the 100–day, competing against warmblood stallions. He has free jumped 5’6” and is jumping 4’3” courses under saddle. He received a “9” for his cross country round at the 100–day. In 2005, he continued to develop as a sport horse, showing in the Level 2 and 3 jumpers at an “AA” show in May and then partnering with Clark Montgomery and winning his eventing debut in Open Novice at Greenwood Fall Horse Trials scoring a 64% in his first ever dressage test! Cyriz and Clark continued with their success at Training Level earning three top four finishes in Florida and then making his Preliminary debut at Greenwood a mere eight months after his Novice debut.
